What patients should expect on surgery day:
- On the morning of your procedure please arrive at 9:00 AM. We’ll let you know during the consult if an earlier start time is preferred. Upon arrival you will be greeted by our patient coordinator and given a few standard forms to fill out. Our goal is your satisfaction, with an excellent result, and minimal discomfort during surgery.
- After your consultation, but prior to your hair transplant, you will receive pre and post-operative instructional paperwork. These instructions are also located on our website. It is very important to read and follow the instructions. Should you have any questions, regarding the instructions or otherwise, please contact our office. Prior to the day of surgery, you will be completely informed and ready to proceed. We understand that surgery in general can make people a little nervous. If you have lingering questions or concerns, please contact our office before surgery. Surgery will last the entire day (8-10 hours in most cases).
- Lunch will be provided in our office and you may choose from numerous area restaurants from which to order.
- During the procedure you are awake and conscious. Your comfort is very important to us. Feel free to watch TV, make a selection from our large collection of movies, or just listen to music. Many patients enjoy conversation with medical staff in the room more than anything else.
