Body hair transplant (BHT) case
We extracted 368 grafts from the patient's chest. It is our estimate that a little over 20% of the grafts were in the telogen phase. Of the remaining 80%, just under 20% were 2 hair grafts and the rest were 1 hair grafts.
This patient had surgery for two consecutive days. A medical team worked on him for about 12 hours each day. However, it was all scalp hair FUE on day one and scalp and BHT on day two. Scalp hair FUE was placed in the hair line and occipital donor scars. BHT were placed on the top of the head.
Patient is about a NW V-VI but he has had about 6 previous strip surgeries, all of them with other doctors, leaving numerous crisscrossed donor scars, some large pitted grafts and scars in the hair line along with scattered grafts throughout the front half of the scalp.
